Overview

A leading manufacturer in the food, beverage, and specialty packaging industry is seeking a professional to manage customer deductions and claims auditing. The organization supports multiple sectors including foodservice, restaurant delivery and carryout, food processing, grocery and retail, and industrial markets. Their product range includes over 120 categories, 250 brands, and more than 39,000 SKUs across various substrates such as resin, paper, molded fiber, and aluminum.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer deductions and categorize them with appropriate codes.
  • Audit customer claims to ensure backup documentation and authorizations comply with departmental guidelines and company policy.
  • Understand customer contracts and identify any discrepancies with the one face policy.
  • Communicate proactively with internal and external customers to resolve deductions promptly.
  • Identify invalid customer claims, initiate recovery processes, and implement preventative measures to reduce future deductions.
  • Report exceptions and enforce compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Verify data accuracy to ensure transactions are properly supported and comply with internal policies and SOX initiatives.
  • Research, plan, and assist in implementing process changes.
  • Support special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with an emphasis in finance or accounting, or a high school diploma with at least 2 years of finance or customer service experience.
  • Proficient in systems such as SAP, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong teamwork skills with excellent follow-up, telephone, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize to meet deadlines.
