Overview

This role leads, scales, and escalates the global revenue accounting, commission accounting, and accounts receivable functions. The position sits at the intersection of Accounting, Finance, Legal, and GTM, ensuring customer contracts are structured, billed, and collected in a way that is both operationally efficient and compliant with ASC 606.

You will own the end-to-end revenue lifecycle—from pre-deal structuring and policy enforcement through revenue recognition, commissions, invoicing, collections, and cash application—while maintaining strong financial controls, predictable cash flow, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing accounting and quote analyst teams
  • Own ASC 606 and ASC 340 application across SaaS, professional services, and usage-based models
  • Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, RevOps, Legal, and Professional Services to guide complex contract structure, including evaluating revenue, billing/tax, commissions, and GTM implications
  • Own and continuously evolve revenue, billing, and AR policies, reporting, and controls
  • Lead commissions accounting, including accruals, payouts, and alignment with bookings and revenue
  • Drive collection strategy to reduce DSO, including ownership of billing, cash application, and PO/portal compliance
  • Lead audit readiness and execution, including multiple international external audits
  • Provide the executive team with actionable financial revenue and AR insights
  • Support strategic initiatives, including M&A, revenue predictability, and board reporting

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting, Commissions, Quoting, and Accounts Receivable within a SaaS environment
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606, ASC 340, and subscription-based revenue models
  • Experience owning billing and collections, including DSO and cash flow management
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-cash systems (Salesforce/CPQ, NetSuite)
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, GTM, and Executive leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent
  • Experience leading combined Revenue, Commissions, Quote Review, and AR functions
  • Background in complex deal structures (pricing, multi-entity, global operations)
  • Experience using AI/automation to drive system and process automation across quote-to-cash
