Due Diligence Specialist (Remote)

Overview

This contractor role supports financial due diligence and transaction accounting review work, including validation of AI-generated deliverables.

• Location: Remote — US/Canada preferred; UK and Latin America also considered
• Compensation: $60–$120/hr, paid per task

Estimated Task Time

• Approximately 3 hours per task, following approximately 15 hours of initial environment development
• Estimates include agent execution time

Responsibilities

• Review financial due diligence, quality-of-earnings, and carve-out financial analyses for accuracy, completeness, and supporting evidence.
• Identify issues such as:
  • unsupported adjustments
  • reconciliation problems
  • double counting
  • inconsistent accounting treatment
• Use agentic AI tools to:
  • support analysis review
  • help develop realistic transaction materials
  • create task instructions
  • define objective evaluation/grading criteria
• Apply transaction expertise to challenge assumptions and identify material errors, including independent verification of AI output quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience, including substantive hands-on work in financial due diligence, transaction services, or carve-out financial analysis.
• Direct responsibility for preparing or reviewing transaction-related financial analyses and deliverables. Audit experience or a CPA alone is insufficient.
• Hands-on experience using agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Claude Cowork) for substantive work. General chatbot use alone is insufficient.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a Big Four firm or another leading transaction advisory practice.
• CPA qualification.
• Experience developing review standards, training junior professionals, or writing internal playbooks.
• Prior benchmark development or AI evaluation experience.
• Availability for 20+ hours per week.
