Overview

This role delivers participant-centered financial education for workplace investors in both group and individual settings, onsite and virtually. The position supports retirement, equity compensation, financial wellness, and wealth management education, helping participants connect workplace benefits to broader financial goals.

A key focus includes advancing Workplace-to-Retail extension initiatives by serving as a trusted bridge—using clear education, participant discovery, and strategic calls to action to identify participants’ next best steps. Education is objective and does not include personalized advice or recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver intentional education experiences aligned to plan sponsor goals and participant needs, while supporting team goals.
  • Simplify complex topics (retirement, equity compensation, investing, and financial planning) by translating them into concise, participant-friendly language using relevant examples, stories, and analogies.
  • Build trust through engagement by facilitating inclusive, interactive learning environments using purposeful questions, discussion prompts, polls, demonstrations, and participant responses.
  • Advance Retail Extension by connecting participant needs beyond the workplace plan to appropriate resources, planning support, and retail solutions in a participant-centered manner.
  • Strengthen the end-to-end participant journey by tailoring education to where participants are in their lifecycle (early career habits, mid-career tradeoffs, and retirement income transition support).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback on unclear or outdated materials/processes, testing new approaches, and helping evolve scalable education and engagement practices.
  • Drive measurable business and participant outcomes by meeting performance expectations independently while supporting participant action, sponsor value, relationship deepening, and organizational growth.

Work Environment & Travel

  • 100% remote work
  • Primarily supports the Eastern Region
  • Preferred markets: Richfield, OH; Orlando, Miami, or Tampa, FL; New York; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh, PA
  • Candidates in other major cities may be considered, subject to internal workplace flexibility approach.
  • Candidates must live within one hour of both a major airport and a service center.
  • Travel required: typically 35% to 50% or more based on region, market, event, and business needs.

What You Have

  • Ability to simplify complex information, listen for participant needs, and communicate clearly across onsite, virtual, phone, and digital environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and influence without authority across internal teams, plan sponsors, and business partners.
  • Growth mindset with curiosity and willingness to test new approaches, seek feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Comfort using presentation technology, digital tools, and interactive features to strengthen participant understanding and action.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, business judgment, and time management in a fast-moving, travel-based environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Series 7 license.
  • Active Series 66 or Series 63/65; licenses may be obtained as a condition of employment within a specified time frame.
  • 5+ years of successful experience in qualified retirement plans, financial planning, employee benefits, or equivalent experience in a Financial Services role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating knowledge of ERISA, pension and trust compliance, defined contribution and defined benefit plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, and equity compensation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of financial planning experience that includes equity compensation planning.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated public speaking, facilitation, or presentation experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of wealth management and financial planning concepts, with judgment to distinguish education from personalized advice.
