Overview
This role supports enterprise valuation work to inform credit and risk decisions. You will perform independent business valuations, provide research related to industry analysis and valuation trends, and support Commercial Credit portfolio projects.
Responsibilities
- Use S&P Capital IQ to perform relative valuation analysis using guideline public companies and precedent M&A transactions.
- Calculate enterprise value using discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling, including assessment of projected performance, discount rate (WACC), terminal growth rate, and other assumptions.
- Build and maintain projection models in Microsoft Excel using the Bank’s advanced Leveraged Finance model.
- Analyze projections and assess likelihood based on industry data, historical performance, review of quality of earnings reports, and reasonableness of add-backs.
- Communicate with the deal team to obtain known comps and review projection assumptions.
- Conduct industry research using S&P Capital IQ, IBIS World, Kroll, and daily publications.
- Maintain a database of completed valuations and the metrics used to compare year-over-year changes.
- Provide enterprise value reporting of the bank portfolio and assess aggregate metrics.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 2–5 years of credit analysis or valuation experience, preferably in Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, or an industry vertical
- Ability to analyze data and present conclusions effectively
- Strong modeling and Microsoft Excel skills
- Understanding of valuation concepts such as market comps, free cash flow, EBITDA, present value, and WACC
- Familiarity with the Bank's internal applications is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA designation or in process (exam fees reimbursable under most circumstances)
Compensation & Benefits
- Total Base Pay Range: 61,200.00 - 125,500.00 USD Annual
- Eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan; payment based on company, line of business, and/or individual performance
