Expert Opportunity - Accountant / Finance Operations & Audit Support ($80/hr, up to $1,600/week)

Overview

A leading foundational AI lab is seeking experienced accountants and finance operations professionals to assist in training their latest language model. The role involves creating, evaluating, and refining AI-generated professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks related to core financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Work with AI-generated content across various finance and accounting tasks including:
  • Monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages
  • Audit request schedules and Prepared By Client (PBC) documentation
  • Accounts payable and receivable aging reports
  • Budget-to-actual variance summaries
  • Internal control walkthroughs and SOX testing memos
  • Vendor and expense audit trail spreadsheets

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial operations, or internal/external audit support
• Hands-on ownership of close reconciliations and audit request schedules
• Deep fluency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing
• Advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and macros
• Expert-level proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and slide deck creation with excellent written communication and strong attention to detail

Compensation & Commitment

• Hourly rate: $80
• Flexible commitment: 5-20 hours per week, with the option for more hours if desired
• Fully remote position with the ability to work on your own schedule
• Immediate start date available
