FBS (Mexico)-Accounting Analyst I

Overview

This role prepares and maintains financial records, statements, and reports for assigned organizations, analyzing and interpreting accounting records. Responsibilities include researching complex accounting issues and errors, providing solutions, and preparing internal management and external regulatory reports as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and financial records for assigned books of business or companies
• Review, test, and validate accounting impacts from system changes; research accounting issues and provide recommendations
• Provide and control deviation analysis reports for balance sheet and operating results
• Provide business unit, state, and actuarial support as assigned
• Prepare reports and statements for various state and regulatory filings
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts, identifying adjustments and corrective action, and preparing documentation to support reconciliations
• Complete miscellaneous special projects and other duties as assigned
• Promote safety at all times and comply with safety/ergonomic standards outlined in relevant published manuals

Location

• Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location.
• Work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation.
• Rarely requires travel.

• Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance or related field
