Overview
This role involves applying deep expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, and financial modeling to evaluate and improve AI-generated finance content. The goal is to ensure that AI outputs meet rigorous real-world accounting standards and workflows.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract position with a commitment of 10–40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated content related to accounting standards including US GAAP, IFRS, and SFRS for technical accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate AI outputs on financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance
- Assess AI-produced financial models such as discounted cash flows (DCF), valuations, and Excel-based models for correctness and practical applicability
- Identify errors, misstatements, and gaps in AI-generated accounting guidance and financial analyses
- Provide structured, detailed feedback to improve AI understanding and communication of finance concepts
- Create and review sample financial scenarios, journal entries, and workflow examples to teach AI proper accounting practices
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Requirements
- Experienced accountant with hands-on knowledge of financial workflows (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification/experience)
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and/or SFRS principles and their practical application
- Familiarity with financial statement preparation, period-end close processes, and general ledger management
- Comfortable with financial modeling concepts including DCF, comparable company analysis, and Excel-based models
- Detail-oriented with a methodical and accurate approach to reviewing technical content
- Clear written communication skills in English, able to explain complex accounting concepts precisely
- No prior AI or technology experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Active professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
- Experience with SGX reporting, SEC reporting, or public company accounting
- Background in audit, tax, or advisory roles at Big 4 or professional services firms
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, or accounting software
- Experience with advanced Excel modeling, VBA, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional accounting and cross-border reporting
- Prior experience reviewing, writing, or editing technical finance content
