Finance Intern - Technical Accounting & Treasury - Winter 2027

Overview

This is a 4-month internship (January to April 2027) with the Finance team, working primarily with Technical Accounting and Treasury, and collaborating with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Finance Operations, and other partners as needed.

The role is remote and available within Canada/US.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting conclusions.
• Support quarter-end procedures, controls, schedules, and audit documentation.
• Update daily cash positioning worksheets and dashboards.
• Prepare variance analyses, monitor liquidity, and track daily cash activity.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and transaction inquiries.
• Contribute to ad hoc strategic projects and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Exposure to US GAAP, financial reporting, or technical accounting research.
• Interest in treasury, cash management, insurance, or financial risk.
• Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to learn new systems.
• Experience creating clear process documentation or working with dashboards.
• Intermediate skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including organizing data and using formulas.
