This execution-focused, analytical role is designed for an early-career finance professional with strong attention to detail and solid financial fundamentals. You will evaluate client business health using a structured diagnostic workflow and proprietary technology, translating financial findings into executive-ready presentation materials.

The work includes cleaning and structuring client data, populating financial models, interpreting three-statement financial dynamics, and producing polished diagnostic decks.

Responsibilities

Financial Statement Analysis & Three-Statement Modeling

  • Review and evaluate client income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements using established analytical templates.
  • Analyze and explain the interconnections across all three financial statements to assess overall business health.
  • Investigate historical performance trends, identify unusual movements, and uncover root causes when revenue growth fails to generate expected profitability.
  • Identify financial and operational risks, anomalies, and inconsistencies reflected in client historical data.
  • Maintain and populate established financial models, supporting schedules, and core baseline calculations.
  • Support financial forecasts and rolling cash projections, including detailed 13-week cash flow schedules.

Operational Diagnostics & External Data Integration

  • Integrate curated third-party market, operational, and risk intelligence into diagnostic models.
  • Synthesize quantitative market benchmarks with company-specific financial indicators to highlight competitive positioning and operational performance gaps.
  • Identify and quantify operational improvement opportunities to inform diagnostic strategy and optimization phases.

Diagnostic Reporting & Client Presentations

  • Prepare, structure, and update client-facing diagnostic decks in live Google Slides formats, ensuring strict consistency between decks and underlying models.
  • Translate detailed financial computations into clear charts, structured narrative summaries, and polished slide layouts.
  • Incorporate advanced analytics and trend models produced by cross-functional data science team members into presentation flows.
  • Review and refine presentation drafts through internal feedback cycles, executing corrective updates with high accuracy.

AI Validation & Quality Assurance

  • Use modern AI tools to accelerate analysis, model population, and initial reporting workflows.
  • Perform rigorous, line-by-line verification of AI-generated financial calculations, interpretations, and cash forecasts.
  • Cross-check conclusions and summaries against primary source data to ensure analytical integrity.
  • Maintain full accountability for the accuracy and precision of submitted deliverables prior to senior review.

Stakeholder Communication & Advisory Support

  • Communicate analytical findings, variances, and financial insights clearly to internal practice leads and engagement reviewers.
  • Respond to routine client inquiries regarding diagnostic findings, figures, and methodology with confidence and clarity.
  • Resolve straightforward financial questions independently while identifying and escalating true data discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

  • Early-career background in corporate finance, financial analysis, business analysis, or accounting (internship experience with strong fundamental knowledge will be considered).
  • Exposure to business consulting, professional services, or the home services sector is advantageous.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides (or equivalent advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills).
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI-assisted research and productivity tools.
  • Solid understanding of three-statement financial mechanics and the ability to explain how income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements interconnect.
  • Demonstrated ability to spot numerical anomalies, audit financial formulas, and integrate third-party market intelligence into structured models.
  • Exceptional attention to numerical detail, coachability, intellectual curiosity, and high accountability for output quality.
  • Punctual and reliable in managing commitments within a distributed team setting.
  • Ability to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data integration and AI-output validation.
  • Experience translating financial trends and operational metrics into clear, client-ready presentation materials.
