Overview
A Senior Financial Analyst position is available within the FP&A team, focusing on managing SG&A operating expenses with an emphasis on headcount and workforce planning. This role involves partnering with business and finance leaders to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial close processes, and analytics for designated business units. The analyst will deliver accurate forecasts, insightful analysis, and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Own operating expenses and headcount management for assigned business units, maintaining strong relationships with business unit and finance leadership.
- Develop and maintain scalable financial models to support decision-making related to headcount and operational expenses.
- Prepare periodic financial close files and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead workforce planning efforts, including headcount and employee cost budgeting, consolidating information from various sources to improve forecast accuracy.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage annual planning processes, including setting targets, creating budgets, and handling business unit requests.
- Maintain and update master data, organizational changes, and reporting dimensions to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot system or process issues efficiently, prioritizing requests and delivering solutions promptly.
- Utilize analytics tools such as Power BI to replace legacy reporting methods and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Assist with ad-hoc analytics, projects, and requests, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
- Support adoption, standardization, and continuous improvement of FP&A processes and systems.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation and assist in implementing process improvements, including responsible use of AI-enabled tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in financial analysis or FP&A roles.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI; SQL skills are a plus.
- Experience working with FP&A systems like NetSuite ERP, SAP ERP, or SAC is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and experience in SG&A budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong attention to detail, data literacy, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration and presenting insights clearly.
- Ability to evaluate data quality and usability.
- Passion for simplifying and digitizing finance processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting digital finance initiatives to improve reporting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Collaboration experience with Finance Transformation, IT, and Data teams to enhance FP&A tools, improve data quality, and automate routine processes.
- Experience expanding self-service analytics capabilities to empower business decision-making.
