Overview
A leading diversified financial services organization is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to join their Enterprise Product & Experience (EPX) Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting strategic decision-making through financial expertise, analysis, and collaboration with business stakeholders. The position involves managing profit and loss performance, financial forecasting, executive reporting, and strategic planning to drive sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Annual Budget, Monthly Financial Forecast, and Long-Term Financial Plan aligned with corporate objectives.
- Build detailed financial models and analyses to support business growth initiatives and strategic projects.
- Analyze historical and current trends in key performance indicators such as revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor performance metrics, identify variances, and analyze root causes to recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct complex financial analyses and prepare reports providing timely and accurate recommendations to management.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses for leadership review.
- Research industry trends and benchmark against competitors to identify opportunities and risks.
- Perform ad hoc analyses using internal and external data sources, synthesizing insights into clear presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify efficiency opportunities and process improvements.
- Implement and utilize Business Intelligence tools and dashboards to enhance financial reporting and visibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- Minimum of four years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with business intelligence tools.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of delivering actionable financial insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
- At least five years of relevant experience including strategic analysis and planning.
