Overview

This role supports recurring financial reporting and helps answer questions about revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating performance. It is an entry-level position with meaningful analytical responsibility.

Forecasting involves uncertainty, so assumptions should be visible rather than hidden inside calculations. You should be comfortable presenting alternative scenarios when a single estimate could create a false sense of precision—especially when outcomes depend on variables that may change.

The position includes both routine reporting and forward-looking analysis. Some work follows regular financial cycles, while other assignments require comparing scenarios, investigating variance, or connecting financial results to the operational activity behind them.

Responsibilities

  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
  • Compare actual financial results with budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, explaining meaningful variances.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
  • Organized documentation habits and an appreciation for traceable financial analysis.
  • Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
  • Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
  • Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.

  • You should be prepared to investigate the source of incomplete or inconsistent financial information, document limitations, and avoid presenting uncertain results as more precise than they are.
  • Professional communication, responsible time management, and consistent ownership of assigned work are expected from request through completion.
