Financial Analyst

Overview

This role involves managing and reporting the fiscal operational functions of hospital operations. The Financial Analyst supports strategic decision-making through financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Work includes partnering with senior leadership, medical directors, and fiscal services to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data, producing accurate and timely management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support fiscal operational reporting and report writing for hospital operations, including (but not limited to):
  • Financial reporting
  • Budgeting
  • Operational indicators
  • Provider incentive plans
  • Management report writing
• Assist with development of business plans, profitability analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Produce productivity reports and other management reports as requested by leadership.
• Collaborate with administration, medical directors, leadership, and fiscal services.
• Gather, analyze, and report information necessary for management actions.
• Support the operating budget and variance analysis process.
• Maintain and update data loads into the financial reporting system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting systems.
• Ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with healthcare financial regulations.
• Experience with budget management, variance analysis, and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
