Overview

This role involves producing dependable financial analysis to support planning and informed decision-making. Responsibilities include maintaining reporting, comparing actual results to expectations, and helping communicate key performance drivers.

The work blends routine reporting with forward-looking analysis. Some tasks will follow regular financial cycles, while others will require scenario comparisons, variance investigation, and connecting financial outcomes to underlying operating activity.

Responsibilities

  • Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
  • Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to evaluate how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
  • Support KPI reporting by connecting financial measures with relevant operational context.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
  • Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
  • Provide variance analysis that goes beyond higher/lower results by identifying drivers behind movement and clarifying whether differences appear temporary, recurring, assumption-driven, or in need of further review.
  • Identify what changed, understand the assumptions behind results, and communicate implications without overstating what the information can prove.

Requirements

  • Strong numerical reasoning and attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
  • Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
  • Interest in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forward-looking business planning.
  • Clear written communication skills, including the ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
