Financial Analyst

Overview

This entry-level Financial Analyst role supports recurring financial reporting and analysis related to revenue, expenses, budgets, forecasts, and operating performance. Work may span financial statements, spreadsheet schedules, operating metrics, and forecast assumptions within the same week. Calculations must be verified, assumptions clearly stated, and conclusions presented in a way that supports decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Document model logic, assumptions, and analytical methods so work remains understandable and reusable.
• Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions may affect expected results.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Communicate financial findings in concise business language, including risks, limitations, and areas requiring follow-up.
• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.

Requirements

• Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and basic accounting principles.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
• Clear written communication and ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
• Ability to manage assigned priorities independently while collaborating through digital tools in a remote environment.
