Overview
This Financial Analyst role involves leading the analysis, reporting, and forecasting of operating and support function expenses. The position requires collaboration with business units to enhance financial awareness, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve overall profitability.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on departmental budget and forecast variances, recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Examine key vendor expenditures to uncover cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead reporting, analysis, and forecasting for assigned organizational expense categories.
- Monitor and report capital expenditures, supporting ROI analysis when required.
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports for operational teams and communicate results to Senior Leadership.
- Analyze headcount-related expenses focusing on volume, rate, and mix drivers.
- Utilize SQL and other database tools to mine data and link datasets to key financial metrics.
- Provide process improvement recommendations to business leadership.
- Develop predictive models and forecast inputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual projections.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Statistics.
- 3-5 years of experience in a financial analyst role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong reporting, data management, and accounting skills with an auditing mindset.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify, communicate, and resolve complex business issues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Previous experience in FP&A within mortgage subservicing or servicing industries.
- Experience or transferable skills using digital tools such as Power BI and SQL, with demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets effectively.

- Salary range: $58,700 - $98,600 annually, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Location & Work Environment
