Financial Analyst

Overview

This role supports the organization’s financial health by driving profit management, forecasting, and reporting. The Financial Analyst provides insights into financial operating results, identifies trends, and delivers recommendations to improve profitability. The position partners with senior finance leadership and local market leaders to ensure accurate forecasts and to support strategic initiatives focused on cost control and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance manager or CFO in ensuring overall financial trends and the impacts of key initiatives are accurately reflected in forecasts.
• Identify underperforming customers and vendors by analyzing drivers of profitability and recommending corrective actions.
• Quantify the financial impact of cost control initiatives, providing insights to improve margins and reduce expenses.
• Assist the local CFO and market CFO with the preparation and review of financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBR) and the annual operating plan (AOP) process, providing detailed financial analysis and insights.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across departments and operational areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or related roles within a corporate environment.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced computer skills, including MS Excel and ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree.
• CPA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
