Overview
A leading commerce network is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the organization's financial performance through detailed data analysis, reporting, and collaboration across departments. This role involves working closely with business partners to monitor financial results, identify trends, and contribute to strategic planning. The position offers the opportunity to translate complex data into actionable insights that inform decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to perform monthly and quarterly forecasting, annual planning, and long-term strategic planning
- Support financial functions including headcount planning, reporting, cost control, and variance analysis
- Monitor and analyze expenditures across payroll, contractors, infrastructure, software, travel & entertainment, and other non-payroll expenses
- Prepare and present monthly variance analyses to leadership and executive stakeholders, highlighting key drivers behind financial variances
- Collaborate with departments such as Accounting, Procurement, IT, and Marketing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company goals
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency
- Assist in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or accounting
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and basic modeling
- Experience with PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
- Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite or similar ERP platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience working in a SaaS environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-finance partners
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional planning and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- MBA degree
- Experience with Pigment and Salesforce
- Prior engagement supporting C-suite stakeholders
- Understanding of general accounting principles, month-end close processes, and general ledger responsibilities
- Comfort with AI tools such as chat assistants and reporting copilots
