Overview

This individual contributor role within Corporate Finance serves as the primary finance partner to assigned functional leaders across the organization. The position supports planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of general and administrative (G&A) expenses, including headcount, compensation, vendor spend, and functional initiatives. You will help leaders understand financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and translate operational plans into clear financial outcomes, with support from senior finance team members for more complex matters. The role also involves using AI and automation to improve finance processes, reporting quality, and decision support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the finance partner to assigned functional leaders by understanding operating priorities, cost drivers, resource needs, and financial commitments—supporting annual budgets and monthly forecasts, including assumptions, templates, submissions, and consolidated outputs.
  • Prepare monthly results, variance analyses, recurring management reports, dashboards, and concise commentary explaining G&A performance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, including key operational drivers.
  • Develop and maintain driver-based expense models for headcount, compensation, contractors, professional services, software licenses, facilities, travel, and other departmental costs.
  • Own headcount planning and reporting for assigned functions, including requisitions, hiring phasing, vacancies, transfers, compensation assumptions, and reconciliation to HR and financial systems.
  • Analyze vendor, contract, and initiative-level spend to support cost management, investment decisions, and business cases for new or changing programs.
  • Partner with Accounting, Human Resources, and others to validate accruals, allocations, headcount, cost-center mappings, and functional results; reconcile source systems to consolidation and planning platforms; and help resolve routine data, mapping, or classification differences.
  • Use AI, workflow automation, and analytics tools to improve data preparation, reporting, forecasting, and recurring business-partner deliverables while following established controls.
  • Identify and support practical process improvements to increase the speed, consistency, and accuracy of G&A planning and reporting; assist with ad hoc analyses, functional initiatives, and recurring finance priorities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a related finance discipline.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, or analysis, including exposure to G&A, operating expenses, departmental, or cost-center finance.
  • Ability to serve as a primary finance contact for assigned functional stakeholders, understand business needs, and translate operational activity into financial assumptions and insights.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and ability to analyze headcount, compensation, vendor, and other operating expense performance and clearly explain variances.
  • Experience preparing and updating financial models, forecasts, management reports, and business-case analyses with attention to detail.
  • Interest or experience in using AI, automation, or analytics tools to improve finance processes, analysis, reporting, forecasting, or productivity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and familiarity with financial systems, planning platforms, HR systems, or business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines, identify and raise issues promptly, and maintain effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize financial results and provide practical guidance to functional leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to a private equity–backed, technology, services, or multi-entity environment.
  • Exposure to supporting one or more corporate functions such as Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Operations, or Facilities.
  • Familiarity with OneStream, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, UKG, or comparable ERP, planning, HR, consolidation, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Power Query, or comparable automation technologies used in finance.
