Financial Analyst

Overview

Salary: $66,000-$74,000 per year

This position focuses on producing dependable financial analysis to support planning and informed decision-making. Key work includes maintaining reports, comparing actual results with expectations, and communicating important performance drivers.

Responsibilities

• Perform trend, sensitivity, and scenario analysis to show how changing assumptions affect expected results.
• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based financial models for planning, comparison, and scenario analysis.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and other financial or operating measures to identify performance drivers.
• Prepare recurring financial reports, management summaries, and ad hoc analyses for stakeholder review.
• Reconcile information across schedules or reports and investigate material inconsistencies.
• Review source information and validate calculations before financial analysis is distributed or relied upon.
• Update forecasts, review actual results against a budget, and prepare management reporting as needed.
• Organize inputs, check calculations, and summarize the most meaningful drivers.

Requirements

• Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to checking financial information.
• Willingness to question inconsistent inputs and resolve or escalate discrepancies before completing an analysis.
• Comfort learning company-specific reporting definitions, schedules, and planning processes.
• Clear written communication skills and the ability to summarize financial information for non-specialist stakeholders.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for calculations and organized financial schedules.
