Financial Analyst

Overview

This role focuses on financial modeling, reporting, and strategic analysis within corporate finance and regulatory reporting. It bridges operational finance and compliance to ensure accurate financial reporting aligned with US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC regulations.

The position involves close collaboration with accounting and operational leaders to analyze financial performance, develop driver-based forecasting models, and support external audit preparation in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models to monitor variances against budget and analyze key operational metrics.
• Prepare detailed financial schedules and disclosures to support SEC filings, including Form 10-K and 10-Q.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses under US GAAP to identify trends and anomalies.
• Document and test internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to maintain compliance with SOX Section 404.
• Utilize SQL, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions to extract financial data, automate reporting processes, and shorten monthly close cycles.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to convert operational KPIs into long-term financial forecasts.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX internal control frameworks, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and corporate ERP systems such as NetSuite, Workday, or Oracle.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification, CFA candidacy, or direct experience in the technology sector or a high-growth startup environment.
