Financial Analyst - Remote

Overview

A growing eye health organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This full-time role is based in Stamford, CT, with remote flexibility. The position supports strategic growth initiatives by providing comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Finance with financial reporting, operational reporting, and cash management/treasury functions
• Prepare monthly, annual, and multi-year financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for total and location-specific profit and loss statements
• Analyze financial trends to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation
• Conduct monthly variance (flux) analysis of financial statements
• Prepare actual versus plan reports for consolidated and location-specific P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flows
• Develop and maintain lender materials and compliance certificates
• Perform revenue cycle analysis, including payor, procedure rate, and volume assessments
• Serve as a subject matter expert for finance and planning systems, including interest in IT aspects such as Datawarehouse integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Assist in developing financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions

Requirements

• 1-3 years of finance experience, preferably in healthcare
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance from an accredited institution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills including Power BI
• Knowledge of SAGE accounting systems is a plus
• Working knowledge of financial modeling tools and techniques
• Understanding of accounting and financial reporting standards
• Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
