The Financial Analyst — FP&A role offers an opportunity to collaborate with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to drive strategic planning, reporting, and analysis that inform critical business decisions. This position involves regular engagement with senior leadership and the parent organization in Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Direct financial tracking, process validation, and documentation for technology development capitalization, including Tech Capex
  • Monitor capitalizable metrics and analyze downstream impacts on operating expenses (OPEX)
  • Serve as the primary internal contact for detailed financial reporting sheets, operational performance metrics, and ad-hoc analysis inquiries from Japan Headquarters
  • Build and maintain financial models, projections, and forecasts supporting strategic decision-making
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial analysis, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations and review of financial results
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams to provide financial guidance and identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and margin improvement
  • Analyze key business drivers and translate them into actionable insights for leadership
  • Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes
  • Design and lead internal compliance protocols, financial control frameworks, and audit readiness activities aligned with public company governance
  • Conduct ad-hoc research and special projects as needed
  • Maintain and contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) as expected of all employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a similar analytical role
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, complex formulas, and pivot tables
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills, able to translate financial concepts for non-financial audiences
  • High organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, budget-to-actual analysis, and forecasting processes
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, and Marketing
  • Exposure to compliance protocols, internal controls, audit readiness, or public company governance requirements
  • Experience working with international headquarters, parent companies, or global reporting structures
  • Familiarity with technology capitalization, Tech Capex tracking, OPEX analysis, or capitalizable development metrics
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement, reporting accuracy, and scalable financial processes

Physical Demands

This role is expected to be performed in a professional office or remote work environment. Physical requirements and work environment expectations will be based on organizational standards.

Travel

Ability to travel for team meetings, offsites, trade shows, conferences, or other business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 base salary per year, depending on experience
