Overview

This role supports Strategic Finance, the finance business partnering team that works directly with leaders across key functions to inform decisions such as growth pace, investment priorities, planning, and performance.

You will partner closely with a senior team member to build models and reporting that business stakeholders rely on. The team is small, so the position offers meaningful ownership of scope early, with visibility to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain models that drive planning for your assigned area, including headcount, capacity, and spend.
  • Own recurring reporting and monthly variance analysis; write the first draft of the story behind the numbers.
  • Partner with the business on spend tracking and review, and flag discrepancies early.
  • Build metrics and dashboards to assess whether functions are becoming more efficient.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for the executive team as needed.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Roughly 1 to 3 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, data analysis, or a comparable analytical role.
  • Strong Excel skills and solid financial fundamentals, including the instinct to sanity check outputs.
  • Clear written communication skills for explaining numbers to non-finance stakeholders.
  • High learning velocity (“high slope”), with the ability to grow toward the role you will be in two years.
  • A working style that emphasizes automating repeatable parts of the job.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, or SQL is a plus (training/support can be provided if you have the instinct but not the tools).
  • Meaningful overlap with Pacific time is required, since the team sits on the West Coast.
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI tools, BI tools, or SQL.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay depends on job-related factors including location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, and PTO.
  • Unlimited PTO.
  • For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington: base salary hiring range is $80,000 to $110,000 per year plus an equity grant.
  • For roles based in New York: base salary hiring range is $80,000 to $110,000 per year plus an equity grant.
