Overview
A financial technology company specializing in credit data across the US, UK, and Europe is seeking an experienced Financial Credit Analyst based in the United States. This role supports building the US credit data set and reports to the Head of US Data located in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Process financial reports using a proprietary data extraction system built with machine learning technology
- Analyze output for accuracy and completeness using internal audit tools and techniques
- Manage and monitor a coverage universe to support live data updates during corporate earnings season
- Interact with clients, including leading investment firms, to address questions about data and product functionality
- Support sales and account management teams
- Collaborate with management to discuss product priorities and strategic objectives
- Work with the engineering team to review system performance and identify opportunities for improvement in both internal analyst tools and client-facing applications
Requirements
- Accounting and/or finance qualifications such as CPA or CFA preferred, ideally from a Big 4 accounting firm
- Experience in financial statement audit and analysis; ability to create financial models and reports from scratch
- Strong academic background in accounting and/or finance
- Essential experience with US GAAP; IFRS experience is beneficial
- Demonstrated superior work performance, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality results
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with data management
- Passion for technology and learning new tools
- Fluent in English and eligible to work in the US
