Full-Time Senior Accounting Manager

Overview

A publicly traded biotechnology firm is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead global accounting operations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting functions including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes
• Manage external reporting requirements, including SEC filings such as 10-K and 10-Q
• Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations
• Partner with executive leadership to support financial strategy and operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of progressive accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting standards
• Experience in public companies or late-stage growth environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the biotechnology industry
• Background in high-growth companies
• Experience implementing SOX compliance
• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting environments
