IFRS Consultant (SAP S/4HANA Finance)

Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced IFRS Consultant with strong expertise in IFRS accounting standards and hands-on experience with IFRS functionality embedded in SAP S/4HANA Finance. This role involves implementing and supporting IFRS-compliant financial processes, reporting, and accounting solutions within SAP S/4HANA Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support IFRS-related initiatives within SAP S/4HANA Finance environments.
• Configure and support IFRS-compliant accounting processes in SAP S/4HANA.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams to implement IFRS requirements and reporting standards.
• Support IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition) and IFRS 16 (Lease Accounting) processes.
• Configure and maintain parallel accounting, ledgers, and financial reporting structures.
• Support financial close, consolidation, and statutory reporting activities.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.
• Participate in system design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams including FI, CO, SD, MM, and Group Reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IFRS accounting and financial reporting.
• At least 3 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS standards and their implementation in SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with:
  • Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
  • Parallel Ledgers
  • General Ledger Accounting
  • Asset Accounting
  • Revenue Recognition (IFRS 15)
  • Lease Accounting (IFRS 16)
  • Financial Close and Reporting
  • SAP Group Reporting (preferred)
• Experience supporting global finance transformation or S/4HANA implementation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Experience with ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
• Experience working in multinational organizations with IFRS reporting requirements.
