Overview
An organization is seeking an International Senior Tax Manager to join their Tax team. This fully remote role is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States. The position involves managing international tax compliance and planning for a global company operating in over 80 countries.
Responsibilities
- Lead international components of the quarterly income tax provision, including calculations related to BEAT, GILTI, Subpart F, FTCs, FIN 48, and other cross-border tax impacts.
- Support external tax service providers in preparing US international tax compliance forms such as Forms 1118, 5471, 8858, and 8865.
- Lead implementation and ongoing compliance with BEPS Pillar II (GLoBE) requirements.
- Oversee calculation of jurisdictional effective tax rates and top-up taxes under GLoBE rules, including quarterly safe-harbor calculations.
- Manage local country foreign income tax compliance, tax audits, indirect tax matters, and provide tax support to business areas in designated countries, collaborating with external providers and internal management.
- Provide technical support and planning for cross-border transactions, restructurings, and legal entity optimization initiatives.
- Monitor current international tax developments and analyze potential implications.
- Research and analyze enacted and potential law changes, preparing memos and action plans to support tax positions.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 firm, with significant US international tax compliance experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree in Taxation or a law degree focused on international tax is a plus.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong skills in research, writing, Excel modeling, and oral communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, especially US international provisions.
- Foundational knowledge of tax laws in various countries.
- Strong analytical skills, self-organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex accounting and tax issues in a multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $150,500 to $237,500 annually.
- For positions located in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area, and New York City metropolitan area, the salary range is $187,000 to $280,000 annually.
