Investment Banking Associate – AI Financial Projects | 100% Remote

Overview

An independent contractor role is available for an experienced Investment Banking Associate to support a specialized artificial intelligence training and evaluation project focused on investment banking and financial analysis. This is a 100% remote, project-based engagement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and annotate complex financial materials, transaction documents, and investment banking case studies to support AI training and evaluation.
• Draft, review, and refine financial deliverables, including pitchbooks, valuation models, and market analysis reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professional standards.
• Develop and document realistic investment banking scenarios to enhance AI understanding of financial transactions, deal structures, and industry practices.
• Assess AI-generated financial content and provide detailed, actionable feedback on financial accuracy, analytical reasoning, relevance, and technical quality.
• Analyze and synthesize financial statements, transaction data, and market information to support financial scenario development.
• Identify and explain complex investment banking concepts, financial terminology, and industry-specific practices.
• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators to ensure deliverables meet established guidelines, quality standards, and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Current or recent experience as an Investment Banking Associate, a second-year or more senior Investment Banking Analyst, or in an equivalent Sales & Trading role.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, business valuation, financial analysis, and investment banking transaction processes.
• Practical knowledge of deal execution, transaction structuring, and capital markets.
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze financial statements, valuation models, transaction documents, and market data.
• Experience reviewing financial models, pitchbooks, investment presentations, and other investment banking documentation.
• Familiarity with industry-standard financial documentation, regulatory considerations, and deal structuring practices.
• Ability to identify financial inconsistencies, evaluate complex analytical content, and provide technically accurate recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and precisely.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to provide constructive, detailed, and actionable feedback on complex financial materials.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deliverables within established project milestones.
