IT Audit Experienced Associate

Overview

The organization is seeking talent to support audit and advisory engagements focused on IT controls and related financial statement work. Responsibilities include performing IT General Controls testing and assessments, documenting evidence, and preparing reports with gaps, risks, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

Audit Support

• Perform IT auditing in support of the Financial Statement Audit.
• Use a pre-defined set of IT General Controls to:
  • Interview client IT department leadership to determine if controls are in operation.
  • Obtain and inspect evidence for higher-risk controls.
  • Prepare reports identifying gaps and recommendations.

Attest and Advisory Engagements

• Conduct controls assessments using a pre-defined set of IT General Controls by:
  • Interviewing client IT department leadership to determine if controls are in operation.
  • Obtaining and inspecting evidence for higher-risk controls.
  • Preparing reports identifying gaps, risks, and recommendations.
• Support SOC reporting by testing IT General Controls for:
  • Design, implementation, and operating effectiveness by obtaining evidence for controls identified and documented by management.
• Support SOX 404 Internal Audit for IT General Controls by testing IT General Controls for:
  • Design, implementation, and operating effectiveness by obtaining evidence for controls identified and documented by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2 or more years of IT General Controls and audit experience
• Financial statement audit background, or accountant background (nice to have)
• SOX 404 experience
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Experience with exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• IT Security experience or security training (a plus)
• Certifications: CPA, CISA, CISM, or CISSP (a plus)
