Overview

This role is for a Senior Manager of Planning Systems within the Strategic Finance organization. Reporting to the VP, FP&A, you will own the architecture behind consolidated planning and reporting cycles and lead a small team that ensures inputs from across FP&A pillars flow into a coherent, system-based corporate view used by senior leadership, the executive team, and the Board.

This is a player-coach position combining strong finance and business acumen with deep hands-on experience in planning tools and finance transformation. You will manage and develop analysts while staying hands-on in the model and data.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of 1–2 analysts to support finance transformation across finance and accounting, spanning planning systems, consolidation, and executive reporting
  • Own the consolidated planning and reporting engine for the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and monthly/quarterly forecast cycles, including data intake, consolidation, and on-time delivery of outputs reviewed by senior leadership
  • Serve as the functional and technical owner of the financial planning platform, including EPM tool evaluation and selection, design, implementation, enhancement, administration, and team enablement
  • Own the planning systems roadmap end-to-end, including prioritization, sequencing against the planning calendar, governance, and change management; communicate progress and trade-offs to Finance leadership
  • Design data flows and integrations connecting the planning platform to the ERP, data warehouse, and BI stack; partner with Accounting, Data Engineering, Data Science and Analytics on architecture and data ownership
  • Support executive-facing financial deliverables, including the Weekly Business Review, monthly OpEx review, and quarterly Board and Audit Committee materials
  • Build dashboards and reporting that surface KPIs and business insights with minimal manual assembly
  • Partner with category, marketing, and ops finance leads to standardize input collection, pressure-test submissions, and consolidate into a single corporate view
  • Establish and enforce best practices across systems controls, data governance, and planning process documentation

Requirements

  • B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience across strategic finance / FP&A and finance systems or finance transformation roles, including 2+ years managing or formally developing analysts
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including command of P&L mechanics, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation mechanics behind a company-wide planning cycle
  • Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or owning an EPM / planning platform (Anaplan, Pigment, Adaptive, Planful, or similar), including model design and integrations
  • Demonstrated success leading a finance transformation initiative end-to-end—standing up or materially scaling planning systems and automated reporting (not only contributing components)
  • Ability to manipulate large datasets and translate them into clear, structured, decision-ready outputs
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to run multiple workstreams simultaneously and delegate effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences from system administrators to the executive team
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
  • Track record of leveraging AI and automation to improve finance workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SQL and experience with BI tools (Looker)
  • NetSuite or similar ERP integration experience
  • Experience at a high-growth public company (recent IPO) or late-stage startup (Series C+) that scaled through significant revenue and organizational growth
  • Exposure to a public company’s external reporting cycle (Board, Audit Committee, earnings/guidance)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution
  • Offsite team retreats
