Overview
This role involves managing the day-to-day finance operations for a rapidly scaling company preparing for its Series B funding round. The position is critical to establishing strong finance processes and supporting strategic growth by handling reconciliations, journals, invoices, and other financial tasks.
Responsibilities
- Own the month-end close process, including bank reconciliations, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage daily finance operations such as processing invoices and payments to maintain smooth business functioning.
- Improve cash flow visibility by processing invoices internally, aiding in smarter payment planning and providing clearer financial insights to the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance administration, accounts payable/receivable, or accounting support.
- Strong knowledge of invoicing, reconciliations, expense tracking, payroll support, and basic cash flow management.
- Comfortable supporting month-end close activities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong written English skills and high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Xero accounting software.
- Previous work experience with UK or US-based companies.
- Familiarity with communication and operations tools such as Slack, HubSpot, AI tools, or modern operations platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to improve or automate accounting workflows using APIs, integrations, or no-code tools.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently.
- Capability to build clear financial dashboards or tracking systems autonomously.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: ₱40,000 to ₱50,000 per month.
- Full-time position.
Location
- Remote position based in the Philippines.
- Work hours aligned with US/UK time zones.
Reporting
- Reports directly to the Financial Controller.
