Overview
A technology organization specializing in AI analytics platforms is seeking a Revenue Accountant to manage revenue operations and technical accounting. This role reports directly to the Controller and involves leading ASC 606 implementation, managing month-end close processes, and ensuring financial systems are audit-ready. The position is remote-first and suited for a self-motivated professional capable of bridging complex GAAP standards with scalable business processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end revenue function, including ASC 606 implementation and ongoing compliance.
- Draft and maintain technical accounting memos and policies.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting related to revenue.
- Manage month-end close processes for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable, including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis.
- Support design and testing of Quote-to-Cash initiatives to improve scalability.
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage indirect tax compliance.
- Act as the subject matter expert for revenue and accounts receivable inquiries across the organization.
- Maintain clear process documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Revenue Accounting, specifically with ASC 606 and ASC 326.
- Deep understanding of the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong independence and problem-solving skills, with experience automating solutions in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills to influence change across departments.

- Experience in high-growth SaaS companies or startups.
- Advanced data proficiency and familiarity with mainstream ERP and revenue recognition systems.
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $150,000 - $170,000 annually.
