Overview

A real estate organization specializing in outlet and open-air shopping centers is seeking a Leasing Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis, lease administration, and portfolio management support to the Leasing team. This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively in a flexible, remote-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and produce reports and analyses to evaluate and support strategies for maximizing leasing production.
  • Track lease renewals and other lease actions; analyze status and collaborate with the Leasing team to meet departmental goals.
  • Assist the Leasing team throughout the leasing process, from negotiation to finalizing terms and executing agreements.
  • Prepare Letters of Intent (LOI) by researching and advising on lease clauses and potential improvements.
  • Enter and track negotiation terms and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain accurate and timely information for internal review and planning.
  • Conduct lease research to support Leasing and Executive management, helping to improve lease forms and reduce liabilities.
  • Assemble and present final economic deal terms to the Real Estate Committee monthly.
  • Provide due diligence lease research for potential acquisitions or dispositions.
  • Prepare confidential reports for Executive Management as needed.
  • Track and coordinate efforts to mitigate cotenancy risk and assist in reducing alternative rent losses.
  • Maintain industry knowledge to ensure compliance and protect company assets; identify issues and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing workflows to simplify, standardize, and streamline departmental processes.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance existing systems and develop new tools, databases, and reporting capabilities.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in lease administration, finance, property management, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts, graphs, logic functions, and lookups.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple complex projects with changing deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex data to create and maintain diverse reports.
  • High attention to detail and ability to understand legal lease language.
  • Effective communication skills to interact professionally with internal teams, prospects, and tenants.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $62,100 - $78,000 per year (actual salary depends on location, experience, and performance).
