Overview
A technology company backed by two Fortune 300 firms is seeking a Valuation and Advisory professional to join their team. The organization focuses on helping small to medium-sized business owners achieve their goals and supports financial institutions in better servicing these clients. Responsibilities
Product, Practice, and Team Development
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine solutions addressing valuation, business analysis, and strategic guidance needs of small to medium-sized business owners.
- Perform valuations for various purposes using all three standardized approaches.
- Streamline data intake, cleanup, and adjustment processes.
- Review, refine, and sign off on valuations ensuring compliance with standards.
- Enhance operating efficiencies, benchmarks, and personalized guidance to help business owners achieve their goals.
- Develop and perfect an expert advisory model to extend upmarket analysis and guidance to a broader client base.
Client Engagement & Support
- Participate in the review and presentation of valuation and optimization reports to clients.
- Present findings to business owners and financial advisors.
Other
- Contribute to special projects as needed, including preparing materials for bank and wealth manager partners during partner network development.
Requirements
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Active CPA license required.
- Valuation credentials strongly preferred: CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst), ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation), ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
Experience
- 3–8 years of business valuation or strategic business accounting experience.
- Experience leading engagements within a public accounting firm, dedicated valuation firm, or advisory practice.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; PowerPoint fluency expected.
- Solid understanding of Internal Revenue Code sections relevant to valuation (e.g., 59-60).
- Familiarity with USPAP standards and AICPA VS Section 100.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 USD per year (United States).
