Overview

This role covers the US time zone and Central/South America.

The organization is seeking a Middle Office Analyst to support the smooth operation of trading activities. The primary focus is on reconciliations, daily bookings, and managing financial processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounts and portfolios using a combination of tools and analytical skills, and assist with daily reconciliations.
  • Support the trading team with asset management across various exchanges and follow up on fund transfers when necessary.
  • Work independently, with other teams, or with external contacts to resolve discrepancies and troubleshoot systemic issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage creditor interactions, including verifying terms and facilitating drawdowns and payment of loan principal and interest; audit invoices and addresses.
  • Produce scheduled and unscheduled reports, analyses, and historical records as required by mandate or to support other teams.
  • Support quality assurance practices and help develop manual processes into effective, automated processes.
  • Conduct thorough break analysis to resolve discrepancies in trading data.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of middle office experience, preferably within a multi-national organization and ideally in digital currencies, trading, or other financial services.
  • Ability to raise issues with peers and managers, and communicate with clients and business partners to negotiate terms as necessary.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote role; demonstrate self-reliance and self-motivation.
  • Good initiative, a strong sense of urgency, and personal resilience to handle the ups and downs of fast-paced teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and the regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies is highly desirable.
  • A self-starter who goes beyond what is asked to deliver high-quality results.
