NetSuite Financials Consultant

Overview

This organization is seeking an experienced independent contractor to provide on-demand technical and functional support for NetSuite Financials.

The primary focus is to resolve outstanding implementation issues, refine system configurations and workflows, and identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and overall system efficiency.

This is an as-needed, hourly engagement with an indefinite term and no guaranteed minimum hours.

Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and troubleshoot financial reports, saved searches, and dashboards to meet accounting and management reporting requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues with customized invoices, billing configurations, transaction forms, and invoicing workflows.
• Troubleshoot revenue recognition schedules, rules, configurations, and related accounting entries; assist with resolving revenue recognition discrepancies.
• Provide guidance on general ledger transactions, journal entries, accounting periods, and month-end close issues.
• Diagnose NetSuite financial system issues, recommend solutions, and provide practical guidance on system functionality and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• NetSuite certification and demonstrated hands-on experience with NetSuite Financial Management.
• 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite Financials experience.
• Strong experience building customized financial reports, saved searches, and reporting dashboards.
• Proven experience troubleshooting custom invoicing and billing processes.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite revenue recognition functionality and related accounting processes.
• Ability to provide flexible, on-demand support as issues arise.

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite implementation experience.
• Post-go-live support experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Independent contractor engagement billed hourly.
• Expected rate range: $130 – $170 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
• Hours are as needed, with no guaranteed minimum.

Location

• Remote; performed from home, as determined by business needs.
