Overview
A newly formed team within Payment Operations is seeking a hands-on professional to build end-to-end visibility into the payment funnel that supports 20m+ active users across 17+ payment service providers. The role focuses on creating the alerting, dashboards, and reporting needed to identify payment funnel issues early, quantify business impact, and route findings to the right owner for resolution—whether root cause lies internally or with a provider.
This team operates with a bias toward action and iteration, validating ideas quickly through small working proofs of concept rather than long planning cycles.
Responsibilities
- Take diagnostic ownership of checkout funnel health by surfacing alerts, insights, and defects before they become business-critical.
- Lead root-cause investigations that distinguish engineering defects from user-behavior patterns, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the funnel reporting cadence for cross-functional teams by translating data into insights that drive measurable improvements in authorization rate and conversion.
- Analyze authorization-rate, decline-code, and multi-PSP performance to identify the highest-impact bottlenecks in the funnel.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud on diagnostic work behind funnel issues and processor outages.
- Evolve into a trusted point of contact for payment funnel health within the team.

- SQL fluency for independent investigation.

Self-serve BI/dashboard tool familiarity to speed up personal investigation.
