Redwood Finance Automation Solution Designer, Poland

Overview

An established organization is automating its finance operations using Redwood Finance Automation. This engagement covers the record-to-report cycle, including period-end close, account reconciliation, journal processing, and subsequent reporting, connected to the organization’s ERP.

The role is remote for consultants based in Poland. The contract duration is being confirmed. Start date: 15 November 2026. Day rate: EUR 450 a day. Language: English.

Responsibilities

• Own the solution design for finance automation, partnering with finance process owners to understand how the close runs today.
• Determine what to automate and in what order.
• Produce a solution design that an engineering team can build.
• Stay accountable from design through build, testing, and go-live.
• Make design decisions when reality differs from what was originally designed.
• Lead current-state analysis of record-to-report processes with controllers and finance operations leads.
• Define the target automation design across close, reconciliation, journals, and intercompany, documented as the solution design.
• Decide what standard Redwood capability covers versus where an extension is justified.
• Design integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems.
• Design balance sheet auto-certification rules, controls, approvals, and the audit trail so the automated close stands up to audit.
• Guide engineering teams through build and review deliverables against the design.
• Develop test strategy and acceptance criteria with finance users.
• Create a roadmap for subsequent waves of automation once initial processes are live.

Requirements

• Solution design ownership on at least one live Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance) implementation, including running design workshops and writing the design.
• 8 or more years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.
• Working understanding of SAP FI/CO (or the Oracle equivalent), including how close and reconciliation data flows between the ERP and the automation layer.
• Experience running workshops with finance users and converting workshop outputs into a buildable, testable design.
• Ability to work with senior finance stakeholders and defend/hold design decisions when challenged.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on build experience on Redwood (to understand what engineering teams implement based on the design).
• Experience with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing.
• Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar).
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry, including work under SOX or similar audit controls.
