Redwood Finance Automation Solution Designer, Romania

Overview

A remote contract role is available for a Redwood Finance Automation Solution Designer in Romania (English language).

The organization is automating finance operations on Redwood Finance Automation, covering the record-to-report cycle connected to its ERP, including period-end close, account reconciliation, journal processing, and subsequent reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own solution design for the record-to-report automation scope from current-state understanding through to go-live.
• Partner with finance process owners to understand how the close runs today.
• Determine what to automate, and in what order, then document a solution design that an engineering team can build.
• Remain responsible for the design through build, testing, and go-live, and make decisions to ensure what is delivered matches what was designed.
• Conduct current-state analysis of record-to-report processes with controllers and finance operations leads.
• Produce the target automation solution design across close, reconciliation, journals, and intercompany.
• Define where standard Redwood capability covers requirements versus where extensions are justified.
• Design integrations with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems.
• Design balance sheet auto-certification rules, controls, approvals, and audit trail so the automated close stands up to audit.
• Guide engineering teams during build and review delivered outputs against the design.
• Develop test strategy and acceptance criteria with finance users.
• Create a roadmap for subsequent waves of automation after initial processes go live.

Requirements

• Solution design ownership on at least one live Redwood Finance Automation implementation, including running design workshops and writing the design.
• 8 or more years of experience in finance transformation, finance systems, or record-to-report process design.
• Working understanding of SAP FI/CO (or the Oracle equivalent) and how close and reconciliation data flows between the ERP and the automation layer.
• Experience running workshops with finance users and translating workshop outcomes into a buildable, testable design.
• Ability to engage senior finance stakeholders and maintain the solution design position when challenged.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on build experience on Redwood, to understand what engineering teams implement relative to the design.
• Experience with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing.
• Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar).
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry, including work under SOX or similar audit controls.

Compensation & Benefits

• Day rate: EUR 450 a day.
