Payroll Clerk

Overview

A dynamic organization providing strategic consulting and operational support to a growing network of Home Service providers across the United States is seeking a Payroll Clerk. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll including wages, commissions, deductions, and benefits accurately and on schedule.
• Review timesheets, attendance records, and pay data for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify wages, overtime, commissions, deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records within the payroll system.
• Assist with reviewing commission calculations and adjustments.
• Process payroll corrections, retroactive pay, and missed deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers.
• Assist with employee file management and documentation updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of payroll processing experience.
• At least two years of administrative or office experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations is a plus.
• Familiarity with HR functions is beneficial.
