Overview
This Payroll Specialist NA role is remote and is responsible for timely, accurate processing of multi-state and provincial payroll. The position also ensures compliance with applicable payroll laws and completes quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for all assigned legal entities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, province, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Review and reconcile payroll data, including timekeeping.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
- Assist with payroll audits and respond to inquiries from employees, management, and external agencies.
- Perform quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations.
- Prepare for and support year-end payroll processing.
- Support the implementation and testing of payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
- Complete payroll-related analysis and reporting as assigned.
Requirements
- Relevant Associate’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and timekeeping systems.
- International payroll experience (a plus).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base compensation range: $60,000 to $70,000 per annum
- Actual base salary will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
