Overview

A leading cloud infrastructure provider is seeking a Principal Finance Analyst to join their Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team. This role focuses on the Compute product and engineering organizations within the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Workload Health team. The position involves end-to-end financial ownership, delivering insights that influence product strategy, investment decisions, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scenario-based financial and business models emphasizing product-level insights
  • Perform competitive analysis, pricing, and cost modeling for new product introductions (NPI)
  • Link business strategy to financial reporting at various levels using Key Performance Indicators and goal setting
  • Influence investment decisions through detailed financial analysis
  • Drive gross margin optimization through analysis of business, financial, and operational drivers
  • Own financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities in line with corporate and business requirements
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to ensure appropriate capacity investments
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leaders and teams as a trusted advisor
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures supporting operational and business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of finance experience; MBA is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud technology and infrastructure and/or experience supporting engineering teams preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations
  • Results-driven with ability to translate ideas into operational plans and achieve measurable outcomes
  • Proven track record of using data insights to drive decision-making
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to influence without direct authority
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapid business changes
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
  • Self-directed, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools and advanced prompting techniques to enhance reporting, dashboards, and financial insights

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (US): $84,500 - $187,000 per year
