Project Accountant

Overview

The organization is seeking a Project Accountant to join the Finance department. This role partners closely with project managers and finance team members to support accurate, timely billing and overall financial health of projects.

Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices for assigned department managers
• Create projects in accounting software, including billing terms and project budgets
• Investigate client payments and outstanding invoice inquiries
• Assist with research and resolution of client questions
• Run standard reports
• Work closely with project managers and department managers to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting and project billing
• Compile and update finance processes and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business, or related field

OR

• Associate degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business, or related field and two (2) years of relevant invoicing or billing experience

OR

• If no degree, at least four (4) years of relevant invoicing or billing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computerized financial accounting systems
• Knowledge of overall financial management
• Knowledge of engineering and architectural services
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision or Dynamics
• Knowledge of professional accounting practices

• Salary range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly (actual compensation may vary based on experience, skill set, or location)
