Overview
An immediate career opportunity is available for a Program Finance Analyst, Lead within an Undersea Systems Division. This role involves providing program finance support for multiple programs on the US West Coast, including planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on projects of varying contract types, sizes, complexities, and risk levels. The position requires significant interaction with Project Managers, Contracts, Senior Technical Personnel, and other organizational units. The analyst will work directly with program managers to define program goals, maintain budgets and schedules, prepare Estimates at Completion (EAC), and support financial forecasting and reporting. Additionally, the role includes assisting with new business proposals.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of all contract cost and financial data
- Own the monthly closing process, validating awards/bookings, backlog, revenue, and operating income for supported programs
- Perform variance analysis and report actual program financial performance against Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasts
- Coordinate program billing with the billing team, manage cash collection, and analyze and clear unbilled receivables
- Develop and manage program financial forecasts, including overall management of program EAC
- Ensure correct execution of project setup processes during program start-up and maintenance
- Analyze contract actuals for accuracy, identify errors, and ensure timely corrections
- Create and present monthly internal and external customer financial reports
- Prepare program financial customer deliverables (Contract Data Requirements List - CDRLs)
- Support ad hoc requests from internal management and external customers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in program financial control; additional relevant experience may substitute for degree
- Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis of contract cost and financial data
- Proven ownership of monthly closing processes, including validation of awards/bookings, backlog, revenue, and operating income
- Ability to support Pacific Standard Time business hours
- Experience in the defense contracting industry with knowledge of multiple contract types such as CPAF, CPFF, FFP, and T&M
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills and high attention to detail
- Team player with a flexible, proactive attitude
- U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain security clearance as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, Oracle Analytics, Fusion, PowerBI, or similar financial systems
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
