Real Time Audit & Compliance

Overview

A company specializing in solar technology is seeking a Real-Time Audit & Compliance Specialist to review solar project submissions for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. This role functions as an independent quality checkpoint to ensure all deals meet internal standards and external requirements before progressing.

This position is not sales-focused but is critical in protecting the organization from risk, rework, and compliance exposure by auditing deals in real time and enforcing standards consistently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time audits of submitted solar deals, including contracts, financing agreements, proposals, and supporting documentation
• Validate accuracy and completeness of all deal components prior to approval or submission
• Ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and utility/jurisdictional requirements
• Identify and flag discrepancies, missing information, or potential compliance risks
• Return deals for correction with clear, actionable audit notes
• Maintain audit logs and documentation of all findings and outcomes
• Monitor audit trends and report recurring issues to leadership
• Collaborate with operations, compliance, and training teams to reduce error rates and improve submission quality
• Apply audit standards consistently across all submissions to uphold integrity

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in solar operations, compliance, auditing, or quality control
• Strong understanding of the solar project lifecycle and documentation requirements
• Knowledge of financing structures such as loans, PPAs, and cash deals
• Familiarity with basic system design and proposal components
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and risk factors
• Ability to work accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong written communication skills for documenting audit findings
• Comfortable working independently and making objective, standards-based decisions
• Experience with CRM systems and solar proposal platforms is preferred
