Overview

This role is for a Regional Collections Specialist within an organization operating in the credit and collections sector. The position focuses on managing credit risk and collections processes to ensure timely payments, reduce bad debt, and maintain strong customer relationships. The role balances financial oversight with customer service to support the organization's financial health and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Make at least 50 outbound calls daily.
  • Assess credit risk and establish credit limits for new customers.
  • Analyze customer financial statements.
  • Use and interpret Experian and NACM credit reports.
  • Conduct collection calls and customer visits to collect accounts receivable.
  • Negotiate and document resolution of customer disputes.
  • Provide customer service and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate credit and collection records.
  • Review collection reports and evaluate collection policies.
  • Establish work standards and maintain workflows and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team on customer account issues.
  • Communicate credit policies to company personnel.
  • Participate in department projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Credit, Collections, or Accounts Receivable.
  • Minimum 4 years of customer-facing experience.
  • 1-3 years of call center experience.
  • Experience with Experian report generation and analysis.
  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in math, accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High ethical standards.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
