Remote Lead Technical Accountant - New Products & Services

Overview

A Technical Accounting Lead is needed to support pricing and packaging strategies by collaborating with Product, Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess revenue recognition impacts of product and pricing decisions
• Lead ASC 606 accounting evaluations and prepare related memos
• Design scalable processes to support dynamic pricing and revenue growth
• Support external audits by maintaining internal controls related to revenue recognition
• Manage item configurations in NetSuite based on revenue conclusions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of experience in revenue or technical accounting roles
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606, including standalone selling price (SSP), variable consideration, and principal versus agent assessments
• Understanding of order-to-cash systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce
• Strong communication skills to translate complex accounting concepts
• Experience researching, documenting, and presenting technical accounting positions

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or progress toward licensure
• Experience applying ASC 606 in SaaS or technology environments
• Adaptability, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset

Compensation

• Salary range: $110,000 - $138,000
