Remote Lead Technical Accountant - New Products & Services

Overview

A Technical Accounting Lead is needed to support pricing and packaging initiatives by collaborating with Product, Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess revenue recognition impacts of product and pricing decisions
• Lead ASC 606 accounting evaluations for go-to-market strategies, including preparing detailed memos
• Design scalable processes to support dynamic pricing and revenue growth
• Support external audits by maintaining robust internal controls related to revenue and pricing
• Manage the item catalog in NetSuite to ensure proper configuration based on revenue conclusions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related experience
• 5-8 years of experience in revenue or technical accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, including judgment-heavy topics
• Understanding of order-to-cash systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts for cross-functional teams
• Experience researching and presenting technical accounting positions

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification or progress toward licensure
• Experience with ASC 606 in SaaS or technology companies
• Adaptability, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset
